Jesse Sachs

Jesse has always found beauty, wellbeing and a sense of belonging in the mountains. He's been backpacking in the Sierras since he was an infant in his mother's backpack. He started training with National Outdoor Leadership School when he was in high school, and has studied extensively in outdoor education, leadership, and wilderness medicine. He has been at the helm of Back to Earth since 2014.

Jesse has additional training as an artist, permaculture designer, and qigong teacher. He is a founding member of Wildchoir and is a fully qualified, level 6 qigong teacher in the Ren Xue system.

In addition to co-directing Back to Earth, he is a full time acupuncture student at AIMC in Berkeley, CA.
