Back to Earth receives Meta Local Community Fund grant

Back to Earth was honored to receive a grant this Fall from the Meta Local Community Fund, administered by Philanthropic Ventures Foundation. The MLCF grant, which focuses on serving the East Palo Alto and Bellhaven communities, will be used to support the KIPP Esperanza x Back to Earth Summer Bridge Backpacking Program in 2026, getting high school sophomores and juniors from KIPP Esperanza into the backcountry, and operating a first-of-its-kind Back to Earth club during the school year.
